About the data
What the map holds, and where it comes from
Every tracked renewable and battery storage project in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, placed at its town or region, over NASA’s long-run sun and wind resource. The Saudi tracker updates every week from KAPSARC, the Principal Buyer’s (SPPC) register and developers’ own releases; the GCC and captive layers come from procurers’ and companies’ releases, the storage projects from Renewable Vision’s reports, the resource from NASA POWER, and the country series from IRENA, Our World in Data and the World Bank.
