How an engagement works.
Every study follows the same seven steps, with durations set against the written scope.
01 The seven steps
From first call to handover.
Each step states what we do and what you provide.
Scoping call
A 45-minute call on the decision you are preparing for, the boundary of the work, and the date you need it by.
What we need from you · The decision, the deadline, and who inside your organisation owns it.
Written scope and fee proposal
We write the scope, the named deliverables, the assumptions we will make, and the fee against that scope.
What we need from you · Confirmation of the scope, or the changes you want in it.
Mutual non-disclosure agreement
Signed before any of your data is transferred. Deliverable ownership and data-handling terms are agreed here.
What we need from you · Your own template, or review of ours.
Data request checklist
A written list of the data we need, in what format, and what we will substitute with published sources where you cannot provide it.
What we need from you · The data you hold, and a named contact for the gaps.
Analysis
Desk research, modelling, and site or stakeholder engagement where the scope requires it.
What we need from you · Access for a site visit or interviews, where the scope includes them.
Interim review session
A working session on draft findings, before the report is finalised, so assumptions you disagree with are corrected rather than footnoted.
What we need from you · Time from the decision-makers, and written comments on the draft.
Final report, handover and briefing
Final report, the model or dataset handed over, and a briefing to your team in Jeddah or remotely.
What we need from you · The audience for the briefing, and the format you need the files in.

- In person in Jeddah, or remotely, against a written agenda.
04 Confidentiality and data handling
The terms under which we receive your data.
- Engagements can begin under a mutual non-disclosure agreement. Deliverable ownership and data-handling terms are agreed at scoping, before any client data is transferred.
- Client data is held only for the engagement and is not used in our published dashboards or datasets unless you agree to it in writing.
- Renewable Vision develops its own carbon and hydrogen project work. Where an advisory engagement touches a pathway we also develop, we disclose it at scoping and the client decides how to proceed. Our assurance line is designed to stay separate from advisory through the eight controls described on the Carbon page.
- Independence controls
- Our assurance line is designed to stay separate from advisory through eight controls: separate staff, separate reporting line, separate document access, separate client engagement records, an independent review committee, restricted project assignment, automated conflict screening, and a signed declaration before any assurance engagement is accepted.
- Conflict disclosure
- Renewable Vision also develops its own carbon and hydrogen project work. Where an advisory engagement touches a pathway we develop, we disclose it at scoping.
05 Readiness self-check
Six questions worth answering before you call.
None of these is a prerequisite. Knowing which ones you can answer tells us where the study starts and how long it takes.
- Do you have an emissions inventory, and for which boundary?
- Do you have metered production and energy consumption data, and at what interval?
- Is there a prior study on this question, internal or external?
- Is there a decision date the work has to land before?
- Is there an internal sponsor who owns the decision?
- Is there a budget range the scope has to fit?
